About Emily
Hello! Welcome to the Good Vibes Birth website- our little corner of the internet for expectant parents looking for qualified childbirth education and emotional support.
Hello, I'm Emily, a certified Childbirth Educator and Doula dedicated to being by your side through every phase of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
I truly believe that proper preparation facilitates more positive experiences and outcomes. Therefore, my mission with Good Vibes Birth is to empower you with knowledge, build your confidence and advocate for your needs during one of the most momentous, exciting and, at times, overwhelming
phases of your life.
Every person who steps into my care deserves to feel seen, informed and fiercely supported- no matter how their journey unfolds. I believe there is no 'right' way to birth neither is there such a thing as the 'perfect parent'. However, there is the way that feels right for you and that way should be your choice. My job is to quite simply help you navigate all the options in front of you and support you on that journey. Whether you are in the early stages of pregnancy, weeks away from giving birth or in the early days of postpartum, I'm here — as your educator, your advocate and the emotional support ally that you deserve during this transformative chapter.

Postpartum Doula Support
You've just done something extraordinary. You need as much care and support as your newborn...
The days and weeks after birth can be beautiful, overwhelming, joyful, exhausting, and emotional — often all at once. As your postpartum doula, I offer a warm, knowledgeable presence with visits to your home, during this tender transition. My focus is simple: to care for you, so that you can care for your baby. No expectations, no judgment — just gentle, practical support so you can rest, recover, and find your rhythm.
Investment: $1,500
How I support you:
-
6 two hour daytime visits over a 2-3 week period (based on your preferences)
-
Emotional support — a compassionate, non-judgmental presence to listen, reassure, and remind you that you are doing a wonderful job
-
Feeding support — guidance and encouragement for breastfeeding, chest feeding, or bottle feeding, whatever path is right for you and your baby
-
Newborn care guidance — support with soothing, bathing, safe sleep, and reading your baby's cues so you feel confident from the very first days
-
Rest and physical recovery — I hold the space so you can sleep, shower, and nourish yourself. A well-cared-for mother is the greatest gift you can give your baby
-
Light household help — a load of laundry, a tidy kitchen, a warm meal prepared
-
Sibling interaction — gentle facilitation of those first precious moments between siblings, helping older children feel included, secure, and excited about their new role
-
Perinatal mood awareness — recognizing signs of postpartum anxiety or depression and connecting you with trusted local resources
-
Local referrals — lactation consultants, pelvic floor therapists, pediatricians, and support groups across Washington state
The postpartum period is often referred to as the fourth trimester and with good reason. You have a newborn baby and you are a newborn parent; even if this isn't your first time. There is so much focus and energy put on your pregnancy and birth (as rightly so) but it is crucial that this period not be left behind. Now is the time for care and support. Now is the time for gentle transition from womb to world. You are both brand new as birther and baby- you don't have to do this alone.
Birth Doula Support
